THE SHORT ANSWER

A referral outreach report should show which activities occurred, when they occurred, who completed them, which offices were involved, and what follow-up remains. Keep these activity records separate from referral outcomes. Outreach volume alone does not explain relationship quality or establish a causal effect on referrals.

Use completion dates for completed activity

A task due in one month may be completed in another. State whether a report groups work by due date, scheduled date, or actual completion date. These views answer different questions about planning and execution.

For a fictional visit postponed from Monday to Thursday, the completed-activity report should be interpreted using the actual recorded event date. Preserve the original context when discussing a missed commitment.

Report the unfinished work separately

Include open follow-ups and unresolved office requests in a distinct part of the review. Mixing them into a completed-activity total can make a busy team appear to have closed commitments that remain outstanding.

Review ownership and the next action for exceptions. A useful report should help the team resolve a handoff, not just accumulate activity counts.

Connect the report to the records

Ovrflo’s work and reporting workflows let visitors explore activity and task context with fictional history. Open a related provider record when a report raises a question about an office.

Compare referral activity cautiously. Timing, source definitions, and other factors can affect the pattern. The public demo does not provide evidence of real referral growth.

Your working checklist

  • State which date the report uses.
  • Separate completed activities from open commitments.
  • Keep office and owner context accessible.
  • Avoid presenting activity counts as proof of referral growth.
